Access To Digital Content Under Stewardship
DP 2012 brings together the brightest minds exploring solutions to the challenges of stewarding digital content over the long-term. The theme of the this year’s meeting is: Access to Digital Content Under Stewardship.
Attendees have the opportunity to get input from such sources as; The Office of Science and Technology Policy, EOP, National Science Foundation, University of California Curation Center, California Digital Library and NDIIPP, just to name a few.
They will hear keynote lectures like; “Big Data Stewardship is a Big Deal”. Other topics such as; “Preserving Digital Culture” and “Personal Digital Archiving at the Library of Congress” also are included in the presentations that fill a crammed packed 2-day agenda.
During the meeting and between sessions, members will have direct contact with experts in digital stewardship from many disciplines and organizations. It also allows them opportunity to get updated with the activities, programs and shared results of the 5 NDSA Working Group products.
Not A Member of NDSA? Maybe You Should Be!
If your organization has an active digital preservation program and wants to work with other experts in the field, yes, your organization should join the NDSA. Consortia, non profits, commercial entities and international organizations are all welcome to apply for membership or join as an Affiliate.
